JIP33 AWARENESS TRAINING VIDEO

The JIP33 Project Team is pleased to announce the release of the JIP33 Awareness Training Video. The video is primarily aimed at Owner Operators and EPC Project Engineers, but will be of benefit to anyone involved in the energy supply chain. It provides a comprehensive understanding of how to use the JIP33 specifications and how to interface with the programme. Best of all, the video is completely free to view or download from the IOGP website.

Whether you are an experienced professional or new to the field, this training video will provide a useful introduction to JIP33. With easy to understand language and clear examples, the video is an invaluable resource for anyone interested in the energy supply chain. We encourage you to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to enhance your knowledge and skills in this area.

SPEAKER BIOS

Anne Devaharan, Information management Specialist, Aker Solutions 

Anne is an Information Management specialist, and has more than 25 years of experience within various Oil and Gas, Infrastructure, and Rail projects. She has provided leadership in the implementation of Information Management processes and systems on Major capital projects and execution contracts such as Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC, and EPCM.

Anne has experience in the implementation, continued improvement, and support of the processes, solutions, and applications that facilitate successful delivery of client requirements.

For the past two years, Anne has been working as an Information Specialist for the JIP33 project, responsible for the content alignment of information requirements.

Daniel Prentice, Requirements & Standardisation Manager, Daedalus Programme, bp 

Daniel holds a master’s degree in chemical and process engineering from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England.

Daniel is a passionate visionary for transforming the way in which capital projects are delivered, harnessing digitalisation, and introducing step change efficiencies and competitiveness to how our industry functions. He is also a strong advocate for integration: seeing cross-company and cross-industry standardisation as a driving force for data democratisation and interoperability.

Daniel has 20 years’ experience living and working across three continents and spanning the lifecycle of multiple green- and brown-field projects; with his recent years focussed on standards, requirements, digitalisation, and integration.

Danielle Guccione, Director of Global Offshore, Siemens Energy 

Danielle currently serves as Director of Global Offshore within Siemens Energy’s Transformation of Industry division, and is based in Houston, Texas.

Danielle is a graduate from the of University of Tulsa, where she earned her BS Cum-Laude in Mechanical Engineering, in addition to being a Scholar-Athlete and representing the school’s varsity rowing team.

With 15 years of industry experience, Danielle most recently served as a Business Development Lead for Williams in their Eastern Interstates Transmission business.  Prior to Williams, she was with Siemens AG/Dresser-Rand for 11 years. A graduate of the company’s 5-year Engineering Management Acceleration Program (EMAP), she has held a variety of roles across the organization in sales, business development, engineering, operations, and aftermarket services.

Dario Lo Monaco, Supply Chain Manager, Saipem 

Since 2020, Dario has been appointed as the Saipem Focal Point for IOGP-JIP33 as an EPC Partner.

He currently holds the position of Supply Chain Manager for the Saipem Qatar Branch and has many years of valuable experience within Saipem having been the Head of Procurement for E&C for the Onshore Division and being a Corporate Head of Mechanical Equipment Engineering.

Dario holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Brescia in Italy after having done a Study Exchange Program with Luleå University in Sweden.

Dario worked at an Engineering and Construction company of Cogeneration Plants in Italy. In 2005, he joined Saipem, formerly known as Snamprogetti, as Machinery Engineer dealing with Turbomachinery.

He has done many Onshore and Offshore Projects for Major International and National Operators crossing Project Engineering, Project Interface Management, Project Technical Management, Supply Chain Management and Construction Functions being permanently based in different Countries – Italy, Saudi Arabia, France, UK, UAE and Qatar.

David Harris, Specifications Manager JIP33, IOGP 

David has over 30 years as an oil & gas professional, starting out in well construction and advancing to be Global Quality Systems Manager for the world’s largest oilfield services company’s engineering and manufacturing function.  For the last three years has managed standardized procurement specifications for the Joint Industry Program 33 within IOGP.

David has also participated in the development of international quality standards and specifications with ISO and API and is a certified Quality Practitioner at the Chartered Quality Institute.

Elvin Feng, President, International Business Division, Neway Valve

Elvin was appointed as President of Neway Valve International Business Division in October 2020, and leads Neway overseas branch management, international marketing and sales, overseas mergers and acquisitions.

He is also a board member of Neway Valve, his current role is to align the strategy & cooperation between all nine Neway overseas subsidiaries and head office to deliver industrial valve solutions and services for Neway global customers.

Elvin holds a degree in Engineering and an MBA from the University of Manchester, he joined Neway Valve in 2010 as a research & development engineer at Neway R&D Centre. He then worked in overseas sales and marketing team, took on a variety of operational and leadership roles in marketing and sales for regions of Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia.

In 2013, he was the Global Key Accounts Manager leading Neway’s global business cooperation with Shell, TotalEnergies, BP, ExxonMobil and ARAMCO. In December 2017, he took on the role of VP overseas operations and sales, working across the global business activities with major end users in the oil & gas industry.

The experiences and business cooperation with global key end users gets him involved in the front line of the market trend by knowing customers’ ever changing demands and industry challenges.

Gilbert Huber, JIP33 SC Representative, Petrobras

Gilbert has 20 years’ experience as an executive in the areas of industrial operations, information technology, and planning in large companies. He also has 15 years’ experience as an entrepreneur in technology and service companies, including two ventures in the US, having had involvement in research and development. Gilbert holds a bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering and an MSc in IT, with a focus on Resilience Engineering and Cognitive Ergonomics in high risk high reliability organizations.

Gilbert worked offshore in Brazil’s Santos Basin in the late 1970s, studied helicopter and passenger safety in the offshore personnel transportation service in Brazil’s Campos Basin in the 2000s, and has been with Petrobras for 5 years, being the JIP33 Steering Committee Representative for 4 years helping to drive JIP33 specifications within Petrobras.

Hanne Foss, Head of Portfolio Product Team HV Systems and Equipment, Equinor ASA

Hanne holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Instrumentation from the University of Bergen.

She heads up the portfolio product team working on engineering optimization and standardization of high voltage systems and equipment within the early phase electrification portfolio. She has been working for Equinor since 2010, has 21 years’ experience within the oil & gas industry and has previously worked for Jernbaneverket and ABB. In her previous roles, she was a department leader, automation discipline engineer and technical manager within the Equinor project portfolio.

Ivar M Stapnes, Low Carbon Solutions Network Manager for Project Development, Equinor ASA

Ivar works in the early phase shaping of carbon storage and the hydrogen project portfolio within Equinor, from the perspective of project planning and execution.

Ivar has worked with Statoil since 2006 in different positions within project development. He has been a Project Manager for the Kvitebjørn Compression project, the Valemon Field Development project, the Utsira High Power Hub project and the Field Centre Concept Solution in the Johan Sverdrup Field Development project. He was head of Engineering & Construction, head of Engineering and head of the Project Development Centre in Equinor.

After graduating in 1990 from the University of Trondheim with a Master of Science in Marine Technology, he worked for Kvaerner, Total, Aker, ExxonMobil and Petoro in Stavanger but also worked overseas for TotalEnergies in France and Indonesia. His responsibilities were focused within business development, project development and negotiations.

James Carr, Director of Sales, QRA Corp

Since joining QRA five years ago, James has supported Oil & Gas companies to improve the clarity and effectiveness of their written requirements and standards. He has a long-standing relationship with IOGP, dating back to Phase 1 of the JIP33 initiative. James has a keen understanding of the unique challenges producers and suppliers face as they implement modern systems engineering practices into traditional contracting and procurement processes. James works out of QRA’s headquarters in Halifax, Canada.

Mark Davies, JIP33 Technical Consultant, IOGP 

Mark Davies, is the director behind HAAR Technology and Engineering based in the UK. He is currently working as a technical consultant (external) to the International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP) JIP33. Mark is a mechanical engineer with more than 35 years engineering experience in the semiconductor, instrumentation, subsea, and water mist fire protection industries in a design or project management capacity.

He has been the lead subject matter expert (LSME) for IOGP JIP33 in the writing and developing of a procurement specification package for S-719 for water mist fire protection systems. Since then, Mark has been the project engineer, involved in the digital requirement writing on other JIP33 projects, such as:

• Transformers, LV & HV switchgear, HV Induction motors and HV synchronous machines.
• Pressure relief valves.
• Centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps and deluge skid.
• Line pipe and OCTG and other oil and gas sector specifications.

Michael Joinson, Director Standardisation Joint Industry Programmes (JIP33), IOGP 

Michael is an energy leader with deep expertise covering HSSE, Social Performance and Asset Management through Operations, Maintenance and Engineering. Having spent the last 28 years working globally across the Energy Sector across Shells regions and cultures, and a passion to drive standardisation, improvement, and efficiency, Michael has started his time with IOGP as Director Standardisation Joint Industry Programmes.

In addition to his engineering background with the Sydney Institute of Technology, Michael though Monash University also holds a Business and Commerce Degree (Economics), and a Masters in Management (International Business).

Michel Myhre-Nielsen, Sr. Advisor Macroeconomics & market Analysis, Equinor ASA 

Michel holds a master degree in Chemical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway.

He has worked in different positions in Equinor (Statoil) since graduating in 1997. He worked on research, business development and strategy development related to climate change and CO2 capture and storage for nearly 10 years. From 2008 to 2011 he was the manager for climate and environment in Equinor’s oil sands business in Alberta, Canada. In 2011 he became the communication manager for Equinor’s global natural gas marketing and trading business. In 2014 he became vice president communication for the Marketing, Midstream and Processing business area. He took up his current position October 2018.

Michele Reed, Systems Engineering Verification Lead, Shell 

Since late 2021, Michele has served as the IOGP Quality Network Chair from Shell.  Michele has 29 years of experience within the oil and gas and military defense industries working within engineering, procurement, fabrication/manufacturing, operations, and business operations management.  For the last 12-15 years, Michele has served as the Subject Matter Expert for technical integrity verification and Quality Management Systems.  She has implemented many new Quality systems globally for multiple lines of businesses and IT tools within Shell.  Michele’s focus is on creating sustainable engineering/business improvements globally across disciplines, functions, EPCs, and Lines of Businesses by deploying scalable strategies using data, IT tools, collaboration, integration, quality and CI methods and systems E2E approaches that impact the bottom line.

Prior to Shell, Michele worked as the engineering and operations manager of a division of Oceaneering that provided emergency response custom engineered solutions to the oil and gas industry. Michele is an Ocean Engineer from Texas A&M University with an MBA Program for Managers from Rice University.

Miguel Sanchis, Low Voltage Systems Global Product Marketing Manager, ABB 

Miguel Sanchis hails from a small city near Valencia, Spain, close to the Mediterranean coast, and is married with three beautiful daughters. His journey began even before he earned his degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnics University of Valencia when he embarked on an internship at ABB in 2003, providing support to sales.

In 2004, this internship evolved into his inaugural role as the Regional Sales Manager for ABB Medium and High Voltage Products and Systems. In 2007, Miguel joined Areva T&D as a Segment Manager for Oil and Gas and Power Generation in Spain. In 2010, a pivotal moment marked his transition to General Electric Industrial Solutions, where he embarked on a dynamic 9-year journey that encompassed diverse roles, from Medium and Low Voltage Regional Product Marketing Manager through MV Global Product Manager and finally Global Business Development for MV and LV.

In 2019, following the acquisition of GE IS by ABB, Miguel undertook the role of MV Air Insulated Switchgears Global Product Marketing Manager in Europe until late 2022, when he assumed his current position as the Low Voltage Systems Global Product Marketing Manager.

Miguel’s career journey reflects his commitment, expertise, and adaptability in the field of industrial engineering and product marketing.

Milenija Stojkovic Helgesen, Life Cycle Information Advisor, Equinor ASA 

Milenija Stojkovic Helgesen is the Vice-Chair of the Digital Transformation Committee of the International Oil&Gas Producers (IOGP) Association. This committee is positioned to lead in shaping the future of the energy sector through digital transformation. Recognizing the collaborative nature of this endeavor, DTC understands that this mission cannot be achieved by any single entity, and thus, advocates for active collaboration with ongoing initiatives and projects.

Milenija currently also holds the role as a Life Cycle Information Advisor for O&M at Equinor, She is involved in shaping internal strategies, roadmap development, and key deliverables within the national and international standardization arena. To this point all her efforts are marked by a dedication to industry standards and collaboration.

Mohd Khairil Mohd Hatta, Principal Electrical Engineer, PETRONAS, Malaysia 

Khairil is a Principal Electrical Engineer with 20 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, having also worked on international assignments including working in South Korea. He has held diverse responsibilities encompassing Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, and Operations, particularly in pioneering the world’s first PETRONAS Floating LNG Satu Project.

Khairil holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University Technology PETRONAS, Malaysia. He joined the company in 2003 as an electrical engineer in one of the engineering subsidiaries. He was subsequently assigned to multiple projects with a range of technical and leadership roles. He now holds a position in the Electrical Leadership Team of Group Technical Solutions (GTS) at PETRONAS, where he oversees asset operational excellence, decarbonization, digital initiatives, innovation engines, and groupwide engineering standardization.

He has served as the Chair for the AC UPS (S-701), DC UPS (S-702), and Battery (S-740) JIP33 Workgroups during the first specification development. His recent role has focused on JIP33 deployment advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and industry outreach.

Nick Ashworth, Senior Project Engineer JIP33, IOGP 

Nick is a Shell secondee into IOGP supporting IOGP’s Joint Industry Program 33 and the Energy Transition directorate.

Nick is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers with more than 30 years of client/contractor experience on a variety of oil, gas, power generation and air separation projects. Nick’s international experience includes assignments in Japan, Canada, USA & Nigeria.

Øystein Danielsen, VP – Head of Global Supply Chain Management, Life Cycle, Aker Solutions AS 

Øystein attended the Technical College and obtained Management and Business Management from BI Norwegian Business School. He has more than 25 years’ experience, and 16 years on a global/international level, as a leader and being an expert in his field, ranging from supply chain / fabrication / manufacturing and business management from Kvaerner Oil & Gas AS, NOHA Norway AS And Aker Solutions AS.

Peter Townson, Project Director CFIHOS, IOGP 

Peter is the project director of CFIHOS (JIP36) and has over 40 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. He has worked extensively in the management of engineering data, implementation of engineering systems, both 2D & 3D including the responsibility for data quality.

He is also involved in several international efforts to enable cost-effective digitalisation of the asset intensive industries, including IOGP’s Digital Transformation Committee, Information Standardisation Subcommittee (ISSC), POSC Caesar Association (PCA) and several other initiatives.

Silje Skarstein, SVP Project Execution Excellence, Life Cycle, Aker Solutions AS 

Silje Skarstein has a Bachelor Degree in Automation from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, and Executive Master of Management from BI Norwegian Business School.

She has 23 years of experience in the energy industry, working for Aker Solutions and Eviny. Key areas of experience and interest are multidiscipline engineering, project execution and management, business development, strategy, and continuous improvement (Lean).

Tom Shortall, Technical Standards Lead, Shell 

Tom is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with a B.Eng. from University College Dublin and MBA from Henley Business School. Tom has worked more than 35 years in Shell, within the Downstream and Upstream businesses in both maintenance and project delivery roles, as well as periods in global contracting and procurement and in asset management consultancy, with the last 9 years working in technical standards. Based in the UK, he reports to the Shell engineering head office in the Netherlands, supporting Shell businesses across the globe.

He chairs the IOGP Requirement Digitalisation Expert Group to help build a common approach for writing and consuming digital standards in the Oil & Gas industry, and is a member of the JIP33 Steering Committee as well as the IOGP Standards Committee.
