S-716 Small Bore Tubing & Fittings specification launched for review
JIP33 has issued the S-716 Small Bore Tubing & Fittings specification for public review. The consultation period will run for four weeks and will close on Monday, 14 September 2020 at 23:00 GMT.
The purpose of this specification is to define a minimum common set of requirements for the design, material selection, installation, testing and inspection, marking of small bore tubing, small bore tubing system components and small bore piping for application in the petroleum and natural gas industries.
The JIP33 standardized procurement specification normally follows a common document structure comprising of four documents, which together with the purchase order define the overall technical specification for procurement. This specification compromises of 3 documents only and does not include a data sheet.
It has been developed in consultation with a broad user and supplier base to realize benefits from standardization and achieve significant project and schedule cost reductions.
